On the backdrop of the latest American school tragedy, one that has left a beloved teacher dead and a Massachusetts community in mourning, on Wednesday evening "Piers Morgan Live" invited a pair of students to offer their reactions.
"When I had found out that Miss Ritzer was murdered in the school, it was devastating, it was surreal," said Brianna Wallis, a student. "There was nothing that I could understand. I didn't know how someone could kill someone that was so innocent."
Colleen Ritzer is believed to have been killed by Philip Chism, a 14-year-old student at the Danvers High School where the 24-year-old educator taught.
"I didn't know anything of the relationship," said Paige Strauch, who, like Wallis, had Ritzer as a teacher. "I thought he was a good student. He seemed like a good kid that would never do anything like this."
