Barry Gibb on Justin Bieber: "Heading for a brick wall"

Coming up this evening at 9, "Piers Morgan Live" rolls out the red carpet for a musical icon and fellow Brit, as Barry Gibb joins the program in a face to face, primetime interview.

The lone surviving member of the famed Bee Gees pop group, Gibb and his brothers spent much of their lives battling the glare of the public spotlight. While current entertainment phenom Justin Bieber weathers a series of storms stemming from his own incidents, Morgan solicits Gibb's reaction:

"Well, what I see with Justin Bieber is sort of what I see with Andy, you know," said Gibb, referencing his youngest brother, a non-Bee Gee who charted three number one singles in the U.S. before passing away shortly after his 30th birthday and following years of drug and alcohol abuse. "You're heading for a brick wall. And that's a shame, because this is a great talent. This kid's got great gifts, you know ... I just think it's time to grow up. It's time to grow up and - and be what - all these young girls love you, be a good example."

More than a decade since the Bee Gee's released their final new album as a full group, Gibb notes that Bieber now faces the same problems that have plagued many successful entertainers: hangers on, yes-men, and mooches:

"You have a lot of people around you, that just want to have a party, you know, and live off what it is that you're getting attention for," he tells Piers Morgan. "And, uh, I think that's the problem. It's always the problem."

He sounds right in some way.... but can you blame the guy? I can blame the government, FBI or whatever, this have been US problem for a very long time but have they done enough, NO...from music industries, movie industries and so on.....How many Actors/Singers died already with drugs? and how how many more needs to die? Did they even arrested any one? from River Phoenix to Whitney Houston what more? Would you think they all have different suppliers, dont think so, some of them have common suppliers and some of them might be suppliers too.
