Debbie Wasserman Schultz on Angelina Jolie: "It was like reading my own story and reliving my own decision"

On Tuesday evening, in response to the news that actress and activist Angelina Jolie underwent a preventive double mastectomy after learning that she carried a mutation of the BRCA1 gene, which sharply increased her risk of developing breast cancer and ovarian cancer, "Piers Morgan Live" welcomed back to the program Debbie Wasserman Schultz to share her own experience with both breast and ovarian cancer.

"It was like reading my own story and reliving my own decision," said Wasserman Schultz who tested positive for the BRCA2 gene mutation and opted to have both a double mastectomy and to have her ovaries removed. "It's not an easy decision to have your breasts removed and to force yourself into early menopause." FULL POST

John Walsh on mistakes made in the Ohio Kidnapping case: "They need to man up and admit them"

On Wednesday evening as Ariel Castro, the alleged Ohio abductor and captor of Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight, was charged with three counts of rape and four counts of kidnapping, "Piers Morgan Live" invited John Walsh to the program to give his thoughts on the investigation.

During the discussion, Morgan and Walsh wondered what happened during the decade-long time period between when the three women were abducted and when they were rescued. Morgan and Walsh noted Amanda Berry broke free from her captor's home without police assistance leading both host and guest to surmise that mistakes must have been made on the part of Cleveland law enforcement.

"It doesn't seem to me a very complex trail if the police were doing the job correctly," said Morgan.

"I am the father of a murdered child and it took me 27 years to get the Hollywood police to open my son's case and let me bring in [an] outside investigator," said Walsh. FULL POST

Herself abducted and rescued, Dugard was appearing at an event hosted by former "America's Most Wanted" host John Walsh, and Piers Morgan shared the moment live as it happened:

"It's the annual Hope Awards of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in Washington," explained the "Piers Morgan Live" host. "This could be very interesting."

Taking the stage to accept her award, the significance of the day was not lost on the woman who had remained missing for more than 18 years:
